IKEA and social entrepreneurship relations.

In this project, I will be analyzing the case study of IKEA. "The IKEA vision is to create a better everyday life for many people. We make this possible by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them." Social entrepreneurs have been collaborating with IKEA in order to solve many problems that society faces every day. Poverty is one of the biggest problems and social entrepreneurs are taking action to maximize their impact and bring people furniture that is affordable so they can have a better life. IKEA also minimizes environmental destruction with their products because they are not solid wood but the second hand which means that trees are saved.

In my project, I will analyze how IKEA interacts with other social enterprises to spread its products all over the world. Each social entrepreneur employs a business model to address the core causes of some of society's most important issues while also addressing the mechanisms that enable them to exist in the first place. Working with social entrepreneurs allows IKEA to learn about new business techniques and ideas for becoming a more entrepreneurial, inclusive, and sustainable company.
